This beautiful brass statue pays homage to the heritage Marwari horse that was introduced to Jodhpur in Rajasthan in the 12th Century. Statues of horses, such as this, were often seen in pairs, each placed pointing towards the other on either side of an entryway of the traditional homes of Rajasthan. At over 80 years old, this charming decorative piece has been lovingly restored and mounted on a timber stand.
